Financial Control Manager (Transaction Support) recruitment

The Global Restructuring Group, along with Non-Core and the Asset Protection Scheme, play an important part in managing major corporate clients across the globe who find themselves in financial distress. We are responsible for; the management of any problem lending portfolios, returning those accounts to the originating Group business unit or subsidiary in a satisfactory condition, maximising debt recoveries and obtaining levels of reward proportionate with risks undertaken.

This is comprised of central finance areas, specialised teams and divisional finance teams supporting the front-line businesses in over 30 international locations.  Finance is responsible for working with the business delivering financial leadership, control, commercial insight and advice.

As Financial Control Manager (Transaction Support) you'll work closely with multiple Global Restructuring Group (GRG) Finance teams to provide expert input, review and challenge on accounting policy matters. You'll develop relationships and collaborate with contacts from across a wide range of Group functions including: Group Chief Accountants, Group Tax, Transaction Support and Group Credit Risk. Additionally you'll be a key point of contact for GRG Relationship Managers, with regards to transaction support and finance sign off, on new deal structures. And you'll deliver a range of ad hoc analyses and presentations, as well as providing in depth information to support senior business, finance and any other relevant stakeholders. You'll also assess the impact of statutory and regulatory changes, particularly with respect to IFRS9 and IFRS 10, and ensure any statutory and regulatory outputs are fully compliant with Group Policy.

Naturally, as Financial Control Manager (Transaction Support), you'll have an ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification, and a financial services background, with strong technical knowledge and a commercial focus.  You'll also have experience of multiple stakeholder management, and the ability to operate with credibility at managing director and board level. Working with, and challenging senior managers on a regular basis, you’ll be expected to use well developed analytical and interpretative skills.
