Our client:
Our Client is a world-wide chemicals company with sales offices and facilities all over the world. The huge amount of facilities enables them to build-up a total solution for their customers. On the Dutch market they have a large facility in Rotterdam.
Position profile:
As Financial Controller Netherlands your primary mission will be the total responsibility / ownership of the company’s Dutch Balance Sheets. This responsibility will involve several tasks like: account reconciliation reviews; the financial month end closing process; primary contact for all local statutory support; assure compliance with local and corporate policies, regulations and laws; reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports; Monitoring compliances with the Dutch GAAP and US GAAP accounting principles and international company procedures; Develop and implement various accounting procedures; etc. For all these activities you will be supported by a Finance Administration team (3 persons).
Candidate profile:
- Minimum of five years financial Controlling experience;
- Business-to-business experienced, preferably in a production company for at least three years;
- Dutch GAAP required, US GAAP and IFRS experienced are bonus elements;
- Focused on results, efficiency and service;
- Self-motivated individual, pro-active attitude, self-starter, committed and enthusiastic;
- Team player and “hands dirty” mind-set;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Bachelor or master degree in finance/accounting;
- Experienced in MS office and (financial) applications;
- Fluently in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
