Financial Controller Branch Controlling

We need an experienced, proactive controller to join the financial controlling team and be responsible for branches reporting to Swiss Re Luxembourg-based entities.

The opportunity
Branch controlling tasks will include analysing and controlling quarterly and factual financial closings according to different accounting policies, coordinating different units for quarterly reporting, making sure internal financial control processes are in place and ensuring data quality and compliance in accordance with SR Group financial reporting requirements.
Other responsibilities will involve interacting with external consultants and tax advisors regarding financial statements, and customising Group accounting and reporting systems to meet local authority requirements for branches.
You will also help define processes and liaise with other Finance teams. This position is part of an international team based in Luxembourg, but there may by some travel to Group Headquarters in Zurich.

About you
You're a certified accountant, controller or similar with at least three years' experience in accounting/controlling covering various systems and policies like US GAAP or Luxembourg GAAP.
You are fluent in English, and knowledge of French, Spanish and/or German is a plus.
A target-oriented self-starter willing to take responsibility for processes and projects, you're also a people person able to perform in different cultural environments. You have strong analytical and synthesising skills.
