FINANCIAL CONTROLLER Job in Basel
About our client:
Our client is a global logistics company with worldwide operations. It is currently looking for a Financial Controller.
Job description:
- Prepare and supervise the budget, forecast and mid term plan for the Group Head Office and the countries under responsibility;
- Monitor the controlling and the reporting functions for the Group Head Office (holding structure) and for the countries under responsibility;
- Prepare and deliver operational and financial analysis to improve the global performances in the field;
- Follow capex and projects leaded at Group Head Office level;
- Propose structured and deliver projects to improve processes, tools and performances;
- Participate in the monthly and yearly closing of the entities under responsability and control the quality of the reported figures;
- Provide the necessary support to the entities under responsibility to improve their financial and acccounting processes and streamline their operations (including training).
Who we are looking for:
- Appropriate certification in Finance and Accounting;
- Hands-on candidate with 5 years'' experience as a business controller in a country;
- Excellent knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles;
- Very good IFRS or Swiss GAAP Fer knowledge;
- Knowledge of Integrated IT financial system (SAP, JDE) and BI tools;
- Fluent in English and German;
- Experience in the logistic and forwarding industry is an asset;
- Ability to convince and deliver in a change management environment;
- 40% Business travel.
