Financial Controller Job in Ft Lauderdale 33301, Florida US

We are currently recruiting for a hands on controller at our Ft. Lauderdale location.  We are looking for a professional with energy, great communication and leadership skills who is willing to roll up their sleeves and accomplish new challenges.  The right applicant will run the accounting department for a multi-state retail and wholesale business with some international operations.  The position reports directly to the owners.  The position’s primary responsibilities include the following:

 

·        Manage the financial activities of the various business operations

·        Co-ordination with the existing accounting group in Laredo, Texas for the implementation of internal controls, budgetary systems and financial reporting packages in Florida

·        Establish cost and inventory controls for retail and wholesale business segments

·        Presentation to management/ownership of operating results

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·        Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting

·        Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including 2 years as a controller

·        Supervisory skills handling a staff of five or more direct reports

·        Strong computer skills including familiarization with accounting packages and analytical tools such as MS Office applications

·        CPA preferred

·        Bilingual spanish a plus

 

Salary negotiable based upon previous work experience
