Financial Controller

 

Reporting to the Business Controller for the Nordic Region, you direct all financial affairs of our Swedish/Finnish organization. You will be supported by a team of four employees. This position is responsible for general, property and cost accounting, budgetary control, forecast and planning within our rather complex and growing distribution company. You maintain the company’s system of accounts, record all company transactions and ensure appropriate IT systems. In order to recommend changes to improve the financial performance a close collaboration with the Sales department is a key factor. You conduct financial analyses and interpret statistics and ensure a proper data base thereto. Establishing plans and policies to support the guidance of management belong to your responsibilities as well as recommending insurance coverage protection within the guidelines of the Sonova Group. You ensure that local tax planning complies with all federal, state and local taxes. Furthermore you will be leading HR tasks like planning, recruiting and terminating staff, conducting appraisals and salary/bonus rounds.

 

We are looking for a result orientated, analytical and conceptual thinking person with a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. You bring at least five years of experience within the field of financial management, the ability to work under pressure as well as a very good knowledge in Microsoft Office and transaction systems (ideally iScala and/or SAP). Knowledge in HR Management or HR Administration is considered as a plus. Furthermore you are a team oriented, credible person with a respectful behaviour and very good communication skills. As a natural leader, you set clear targets for your four direct reports (two in Sweden and two in Finland), monitor their performance and secure results. Since the position involves international contacts, you are fluent in communicating in English, both oral and in writing.
