Financial Controller, Regional Exposure, Excellent Internal Mobility, $55k – 70k recruitment
The Company
Our client is a well-established Asian Banking Group with key businesses in Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management and Global Markets. Due to expansion in Hong Kong and the Mainland China, a newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced and all rounded Financial Controller to join the team in Hong Kong.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will be tasked with ensuring the finance team has the processes and adequate headcount to support managements' goals for organic growth and targeted acquisition. Recruitment of talented people to support your team will become an important element to this objective.
You must have a proven record of strong leadership of both people and projects. While there are some strategic elements to this position, it is critical that you are hands on in your approach as you will be required to maintain the daily operational accounts regionally. This will include balance sheet, profit loss, cash flow monitoring, departmental expense monitoring, budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
Your Profile
- Qualified accountant with degree in Accountancy or related discipline
- at least 8 years experience gained from Big 4, and at a managerial level
- solid experience in the preparation of consolidated accounts is essential
- excellent communication skills and proficiency in Excel
- independent, hands-on, responsible and detail-oriented are the desired qualities
- able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Minimal travel to China
