Financial Controller to an International Company

The Financial Controller will be responsible for 2 entities in Sweden based in Gothenburg
The basic purpose of this role is to maintain accounting records and handle fiscal responsibilities of the two entities through direct hands-on accounting work and oversight of local Human Resource processes.

Tasks Responsibility
Maintain US GAAP-based accounting within Oracle. This includes a general ledger as well as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and fixed asset ledgers.
Maintain relationship for payroll processing.
Prepare VAT, social charge and other government-related returns accurately and submits payments prior to deadlines.
Complete month-end closes in accordance with group requirements.
Preparing monthly financial reporting in accordance with US generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP) for timely submission to US Parent Company.
Manage internal and external audit process. Answer questions and provide information as requested. The external audit process includes government auditors for tax or government contract purposes.
Preparing annual capital and operating budgets.
Provide financial guidance and assistance to other managers.
Prepare annual tax filings and prepare annual statutory financial statements.
Human Resource management.

Qualifications
University Degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum 3 years experience in accounting.
Experience in the accounting department of a Swedish company owned by a U.S. public company is optimal.
Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills are required.
Software experience with Oracle is beneficial.

The right person for this position has the ability to work proactively. You are organized and efficient, and able to manage priorities.
