Financial Crime Assurance and Sanctions Manager recruitment
Responsibilities
To ensure that the business meets its AML obligations particularlly in regards to Sanctions, prohibitions and PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons).
Deputising for the Senior Manager of AML Regulatory Risk Sanctions.
To be a subject matter expert on sanctions customer and payment screening procedures.
Key role as a subject matter expert on PEP's screening and management procedures.
To attend meetings with relevant areas in relation to PEPs and Sanctions
Ensure that sanctioned or prohibited individuals and entities are identified and reported to the authorities:
Receive, review, log and distribute new or updated sanctions or HM Treasury Notice from the business.
Ensure that individuals or entities designated as PEPs are correctly identified and reported internally
Keep a suite of letters to sanctioned customers, and customers exited as a result of PEPs or Prohibitions requirements. Agree any amendments with legal.
Liaise with and oversee Sanctions and PEPSs operational teams.
Create a risk based assurance programme to monitor compliance to relevant AML. Sanctions and PEPs programmes.
Requirements
Knowledge of UKand US AML and Sanctions regulation.
Strong overview of regulatory requirements in regards to Financial Crime.
A strong understanding of how Bank of England sanctions notification and HM Treasury notices are related to financial institution.
