Financial Crime Risk Assessment

Global Banking Group seeks two Financial Crime specialists with previous experience conducting risk assessments to sit within their new AML Risk function.

The Client:

One of the world’s leading banking groups. They have investment banking, private banking, wealth management and corporate banking divisions. The client is embarking on a Global Change programme in Financial Crime, and this position has significant impact in their overall project.

The Role:

To support the Regional Head of Financial Crime risk in the review and management of the AML risk programme throughout the EMEA region

· To conduct holistic mapping to assess the bank’s exposure to Financial Crime
· To assist senior management to set the bank’s strategic direction towards AML.
· To ensure that risk assessment is applied accurately and consistently across the region, making recommendations based on gap analysis.
· Work closely with senior stakeholders within the AML policy/advisory function to correct risk appetite.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be have subject matter knowledge of AML and Sanctions; whilst also having an appetite for risk prevention and management. The candidate will come from either a 2nd line AML advisory line; AML assurance or within a dedicated AML risk function. Candidates from the FCA or from within consultancy will also be highly sought after.
