Financial Director/SVP for Technology, Operations and Infrastructure recruitment

(Please consider in the first instance this is a finance based role, looking for people with finance backgrounds / financial qualifications / strong back office finance exposure etc, who have particular experience of such duties in the technology, operations or infratsrucutre areas. We are not looking for very IT or highly project centric candidates.)

Our client, a top tier global bank, our looking for a strong new Director to join their Technology, Infrastructure and Ops space. You will be reporting into a Snr Director based in Singapore and very much be his right hand man. The role is to manage a team of 6 in HK, with the key deliverables of the team (cost analysis and projects, expense management, financial planning etc) focussed around the technology, infrastructure, and ops spaces across banking business lines – infrastructure, IB, assets, wealth.

This bank is known for their ‘best in class’ infrastructure and this role is very much a champion of that outlook. The Snr Director is based in Singapore, and are most of the IT staff who you will be working in partnership with, devising change strategy, conceptualising planning and so on. However, the Chief Information Officer, most of the Snr Management for the region, a lot of the ‘physical’ change and so on is in HK. Thus, they need someone strong to stakeholder manage the CIO, face off against senior management in HK, manage the team underneath them and drive the change in HK.

My client needs someone with:

- Finance background ideally with an ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualification

- Very strong costing, financial planning, financial business partnering, budgeting and expense management experience

- Wide banking exposure

- Exposure to ‘tech and ops’/IT/infrastructure/GTO/Global tech spaces

- Excellent stakeholder management skills

- Ability to drive, direct and manage projects

- First rate negotiation and influencing skills

- Good management skills (team of 6)
