Financial Modelling
A leading banking group is currently recruiting for a Planning Analyst within the Global Banking Markets team.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and operate an Essbase database
Upload and download of data to the Hyperion planning system
Contribute to the design of forecast models and process, both top down and bottom up
Build mainly Excel based forecast models and templates, keeping it simple when modelling
Reconciliation of large data sets between various offline and online sources
Production of financial analysis (margins analysis, income and balance sheet movement analysis)
Ideal skills and experience:
Qualified or part qualified accountant
Banking experience in an income role, not costs
In depth knowledge of Essbase with experience of developing an Essbase cube
Advanced Excel skills, able to write macros in VBA
Modelling expertise essential
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to explain technical detail to various stakeholders
Where UK qualifications are specified we will take into account overseas equivalents. Candidates must be eligible to work in country in which the role is based.
