Commonwealth Financial Planning (CFP) is part of WM Advice and is one of Australia's largest and best resourced financial planning businesses. We have more than 700 Advisers nationwide and over 100 support staff. For more than 20 years, we have provided personal financial advice on a wide range of issues including retirement planning, investments, managing debt, budgeting, insurance and superannuation.
The Opportunity
This challenging role will require you to lead a team of dedicated financial specialists in your allocated region and build a customer-focussed, professional and outcome-driven team that delivers quality, compliant advice and outcomes for all our clients. You will:
- Coach your team to continually improve performance
- Supervise and monitor your team to ensure compliant, quality advice is being delivered
- Ensure your team are focused on adhering to regulatory and licensee requirements, business rules and policies
- Manage your team's performance against business targets
- Identify development needs of Advisers and implement development actions
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the retail branch network and other service and support partners
- Identify areas of risk and action these appropriately
- Manage resource planning and maintain quality recruitment practices
- Create a fun and rewarding working environment that engages and retains staff
- Ensure a safe working environment
Skills Experience
Demonstrable management experience in an Advice related role
Proven experience of leading and developing an Advice team
- Strong communication and people engagement skills
- Highly skilled in training and coaching
- Demonstrated ability to work within compliance frameworks
- Possess a ASIC compliant Diploma/Degree
- Must be RG146 compliant in the following generic knowledge and the following specialist areas: Managed Investments, Life Insurance,Superannuation,Financial Planning and Skills
