Financial Planning Support – Paraplanner recruitment

Investment Products and Services (IPS) UK brings together product specialists involved in product development, coverage/sales support and execution to provide high quality services to Wealth Management client segments.

Wealth Planning and Financial Planning are key differentiators in servicing Wealth Management clients. A paraplanner is required to join this team to work along side the financial planners to enable the efficient execution of financial planning advice. The role holder is expected to be a technical and qualified individual who can offer skills in addition to those of the advisor to provide the client with a positive professional experience

Primary tasks:
* Assist the Financial Planners in preparing and administering advice proposals or suitability letters.
* Prepare case files and illustrations for client meetings/annual reviews.
* Act as the point of liaison between the Financial Planner and the Financial Planning Support team.
* Preparation of Pension Consolidation Schedule including analysis.
* Potentially attend or review client meetings with the Financial Planner to allow for follow up research based on agreed actions with the client. Drafting of meeting notes and call reports.
* Provide the Financial Planner with pre-populated new business paperwork required for the completion of advice and regulatory checklists for specialist sign off.
* Once advice has been provided, ensure that the new business pack is fully complete and compliant and submit to the Financial Planning support team. Track progress of case to conclusion.
* Assist the Financial Planner with the annual financial planning review encompassing drafting of annual review letters.
* Supporting Financial planners with client queries (eg what withdrawals are permitted, providing details of withdrawals, details of funds invested in etc ).
* Plan administration such as surrenders of bonds.
* Liaison with client and providers.
* Management of Financial Planners diaries.
* Use of IT systems including ICRM, Adviser Office, Voyant, Exchange.

Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards). Certificate in Financial Planning as a minimum.

Strong all round technical ability and in-depth knowledge of the market.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to analyse client situations / statistics and assist the Financial Planner in providing recommendations.
Ability to conduct research on wide range of products/ providers.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance framework.
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage workflow.
Excellent interpersonal and IT skills, ideally experienced in use of 1st software, Voyant and The Exchange.
