Financial & Project Accountant

Our client, a prestigious Insurance firm in the City are seeking a qualified Financial and Project Accountant to Assist the Group Financial Controller with the production of management information, UK corporation tax, statutory accounts and liaising with the external auditors.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate who is looking for their step into industry, as the successful candidate is likely to have an audit background.

Responsibilities will include:
· Preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS
· Preparation of UK Corporation tax computations
· Responsible for updating and managing the 5 year financial projections model
· Preparation of the annual budgeting reporting pack
· Managing the UK GAAP / IFRS conversation project
· Involved in reviewing and managing a multi-currency UK based consolidation model
· Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and controls
· Key point of contact for the auditors
· Implementing and improving processes to the finance ledgers and software
· Responsible for delivering ad hoc projects

The candidate:
· Qualified ACA, ACCA
· Must have experience within the Insurance or Financial services sector or have Insurance or Financial services clients within practice
· IFRS and UK GAAP experience
· Strong communication skills
· Excel skills; pivot tables and v lookups
