The role of Compliance Consultant offers a rare opportunity to progress a career in Compliance. Supported by the Senior Compliance Manager (Business Advice) you will become a member of the team responsible for providing advice on and approval of HomeServe financial promotions.
You will manage compliance oversight for a portfolio of FSA appointed representative (AR) affinity partner accounts developing a working relationship with the Homeserve relationship manager and where relevant, the partner’s key points of contact. As your knowledge develops you will become involved in advising and guiding the business on compliance matters in a variety of challenging situations.
Responsibilities:
- To be part of a team responsible for compliance sign off of HomeServe financial promotions.
- To deliver training on compliance standards for financial promotions and other forms of customer communications
- Act as Compliance Account manager (CAM) for the Appointed Representative (AR) network
- To provide support to the Senior Compliance Manager on regulatory issues.
- Contribute to Compliance objectives to ensure that HomeServe delivers fair customer outcomes in accordance with the Conduct Risk Policy.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Compliance Manager provide advice, guidance and support on regulatory issues relating to FSA, ASA and DPA.
- Help to develop a Compliance culture throughout the business and in line with our policy, ensure the principle of Treating Customers Fairly is an intrinsic part of the organisation's culture by identifying, monitoring and managing any risks within the business.
Candidate Requirements:
- Good understanding and knowledge of the general insurance sector and products.
- Experience of working in a FSA regulated environment ideally in compliance sign off of financial promotions
- Ability to articulate clearly (verbally and in writing) views, opinions and conclusions reached against FSA standards.
- A strong communicator with a particular focus on delivering presentations
- Able to build key relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to apply solutions to practical problems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
