This Financial Reporting and Consolidation Manager's job in Edinburgh with a global business is an excellent opportunity for qualified accountants working in practice (Big 4 or Top 10) to make a "first move"; or for someone working in a reporting/technical role looking to move to a larger team.  The Consolidation team's primary role is to deliver the monthly statutory consolidation requirements for the Group, manage changes in the Group financial reporting requirements and deliver effective process improvements.

As Financial Reporting/Consolidation Manager, you will be part of a small team which produces the Group's income statement and balance sheet. The team's key activities are as follows:
Production of monthly consolidated statutory income statements and balance sheets at the principal legal levels of the Group
Production of fully reconciled monthly shareholders' equity and minority interests at the principal levels
Monthly preparation and review of consolidation journals
Preparation and ownership of key financial disclosures in the Group's annual Report Accounts, Company Announcements and Interim Management Statements. Quarterly review and challenge of core and supplementary data disclosures for inclusion in the externally published results of the Group
Provide support to the embedding of the new consolidation system

The role in the team will cross all of the above key activities, together with key financial control activities, assisting the team to meet their deliverables.  To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant and be keen to work in a challenging, yet highly rewarding environment.
