Our client, an Investment Banking Giant is looking for a Business Analyst to work within the Financial Reporting / Financial Accounting area of the Bank. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the route cause analysis of financial reporting and must have strong data mapping experience within financial Operations. This is a contract opportunity paying a highly competitive daily rate.
Job Description:
- Conducting Business analysis of Source data feeds, documenting gaps and identifying source systems from where the missing data elements could be populated.
- Preparing conversion and migration plan and associated documentation.
- Support test plans, test execution sequences, documenting outcome of tests conducted, following up on remediation and re-test cases.
- Supporting conversion and migration run-charts, conducting trial conversion runs, establishing and supporting “command-and-control” operations during conversion runs, ensuring conversion results are reviewed by business streams (data owners) and obtaining sign-offs.
Essential skills:
- Knowledge of Finance and financial risk processes
- Strong Financial Reporting / Financial Accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Project People’s skills; ability to work with other BAs.
- Experience of planning, execution and migration of data conversion and cut-over activities a plus.
