Financial Reporting Manager
A new Financial Reporting Manager role has been created at a leading insurance management firm. My client is a global business and seen as a leading provider of professional services to the insurance sector. Their business is primarily focused on management, adjusting and insurance support services working in 24 countries.
This particular role has responsibility for managing all aspects of financial reporting on an international scale for one of their most important business units. Some of the key areas you will have direct ownership of will include:
• Preparation, consolidation and review of company and group financial statements. Working closely with overseas offices
• Board reporting – quarterly policy statements and projected solvency and capital requirements
• Regulatory reporting – delivery of the Solvency returns, on-going development of Pillar 3 reporting within the business and monitoring overseas regulation
• Developing the link between finance and the actuarial, tax and compliance teams
You will get a high level of exposure to the Senior Management team and work closely with the CFO to present financial information and also act as a technical advisor to the wider finance team. Supporting you will be a small but established team of excellent finance professionals; you will be responsible for providing direction to them as well playing a key part in their development. This role will give someone a really good opportunity to progress their career as the business continues to develop.
I am therefore looking for a senior finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who has extensive insurance financial reporting experience. I will be looking for evidence of strong up to date technical knowledge that includes solvency II and an understanding of the complexities of an international business. You will need to also be someone who has the confidence to manage a team and also be highly credible when presenting to the board.
