The Glasgow Finance Division helps senior management and its individual business units manage the firm’s risk by implementing financial controls over our business activities. The division is crucial to safeguarding the firm’s franchise, reporting on current performance, and evaluating business opportunities

Control Framework Group - Financial Statement Line Ownership Manager

The objective of Financial Statement  Line Ownership is to:
- Establish ownership/guardianship for all active financial statement  reporting line items within the Firm's  consolidated 10Q structure  and ensure they perform their roles and responsibilities
- Review, define and reduce the current Chart of
Accounts

The Financial Statement Line Ownership Program Office is responsible for :
- Establishing ownership/guardianship for all
active financial statement reporting line items within   the  Firm’s  consolidated 10Q structure and continuously  monitor the consolidated 10Q for any new un- owned rollups
- Acting as a guardian of the consolidated 10Q
  structure and coordinating the effort to review 10Q
  rollups to ensure appropriate granularity and
  usage.  Create additional rollups where
  necessary and ensure mapping where
  appropriate between the Balance Sheet and
  Income Statement  
- Working directly with other Financial Statement  line owners across  Finance to ensure that objectives of the program  are met
- Working with Financial Statement line owners to develop and  update Substantiation Programs for Balance  Sheet lines that provide guidance to accounts on  how accounts within the specific SEC ( Securities Exchange Commission)  Line should be substantiated
- Working with stakeholders in Operations to
   review 10Q mappings to the sub-ledger
- Work with the Finance Data Architecture team in
   the migration to new GL
- Continuous interaction with Senior Management

Skills Required
- Accounting background.
- The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or part qualified with strong relevant experience
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to work independently.
-Effective communications skills.
-Project Management Skills.

Skills Desired
Working knowledge of Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting structures.
