FIX Connectivity Engineer recruitment
The FIX sub team provides client connectivity for ordering (buy and sell side), order routing to order management systems, execution routing to Mid/BO systems and order routing to exchanges. It is responsible for on boarding clients and performing the 2nd level support and a FIX-specific hotline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming of extensions within Cameron Engine
- Optimize efficiency via scripting
- Manage and improve build and rollout processes
- Project support and testing for all connectivity demands in FIX environment
- Second level support around the Cameron FIX-Engine
- Supporting Technical Order Routing Queries
- Responsibility for on boarding new customers to FIX-engine
- Implementing change management releases in a production environment
- Proactive monitoring of internal systems and FIX sessions
- Managing and trouble-shooting server side infrastructure
- Working in international team
- Participation on a FIX-specific hotline
- Close coordination with the responsible Line-Manager
Person Specification:
Knowledge:
-Good knowledge in programming and scripting (Java, Perl, Shell scripting)
-Capability of managing and optimizing complex build and rollout processes
-Experience with Unix Environment (Solaris X86 and/or Red Hat) and tools (Geneos: monitoring; Gforge: task tracking; SVN : build and rollout)
-Knowledge of FIX-protocol and Cameron FIX-engine

-Ability to structure and present complex information in an understandable way
-Excellent analytical skills
Qualifications/Training:
-Degree in Computer science or comparable education
Previous Experience:
-Experience with Unix Environment (Solaris X86 and/or Red Hat) and tools (Geneos: monitoring; Gforge: task tracking; SVN : build and rollout)
-Experience in a 1st/2nd line support role
-Business knowledge of order/execution flow
Other Requirements:
-English Language Skills essential
