Fixed Income Client Relationship Manager

Following the growth in our client's business and the increased demands on their client relationship management team,they are looking to recruit an individual with experience in a client service role, ideally with a fixed income background, to support their existing client relationship management team.

The successful candidate will be based in their London office and will report to the Principal responsible for client relationships outside the United States. A secondary role will be to provide back-up support, as needed, to their specialist mutual fund administrator.

The job's primary area of responsibility will be to assist the Client Portfolio Managers in providing superior client service to their client base. Client service tasks include assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, producing client review meeting books and compiling presentation materials to prospective clients and consultants.

In addition, the role will involve helping to respond to a broad range of client requests, queries and issues that arise routinely, including helping address operational and administrative queries.

The role will involve a wide variety of activities, including the opportunity to contribute to written economic/market environment reports and a description of our investment strategies and their performance impact, involvement in all aspects of the take-on process for new clients, the monitoring of adherence to clients' investment guidelines, and the production of reports measuring risk and counterparty exposures.

Who we're looking for

• The successful candidate will need quickly to gain familiarity with the firm's investment management systems and with Bloomberg in order to allow the candidate to access relevant portfolio and financial data efficiently and effectively for use in client reports and presentations.
• The successful candidate will have a strong undergraduate degree and ideally will be a CFA charterholder or be working/considering working towards that qualification.
• Experience serving institutional clients, ideally in a fixed income buy-side environment.
• The candidate should be highly numerate and analytical, and possess strong IT skills. An economics background would be advantageous, and a basic understanding of the workings of the bond markets preferable.
• We are interested in meeting candidates who are bright, enthusiastic and eager to learn and contribute. He/she will have strong communication skills and be prepared to discuss his/her opinions openly and cogently. The individual will be a strong team player, able to work well with people on a variety of tasks, sometimes under pressure due to tight deadlines.
