Fixed Income Credit Analyst (Senior Associate / Vice President)

Position Description

In this position, the Fixed Income Analyst will be a member of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Global Credit Team. The role will be to work with the Credit investment team to conduct in-depth credit analysis of companies in the investment grade and high yield corporate bond markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate fundamental research to assess values and identify investment opportunities in the corporate fixed income markets. This will include the analysis of business models and financial statements of corporate issuers as well as key structural characteristics of individual securities.

• Develop and articulate recommendations for security selection and portfolio strategies to add value to fixed income investment portfolios.

• Develop research tools, including databases and spreadsheet applications.

• Support the growth of the Firm's business in areas where strong credit research and corporate bond expertise offer a competitive advantage.

• Participate in Fixed Income investment team meetings.

• Participate as a full team member in fixed income management, including new business development and client service.

Skills Required

• Proven experience in Credit Risk Analysis and Fixed Income is essential with a strong interest and knowledge of business.
• A Bachelor's degree, or an MBA/postgraduate degree, or equivalent.
• CFA preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• European language skills are desirable.
• A strong work ethic, self-motivation, initiative, and a desire to succeed in a dynamic professional investment management business are key skills for the successful candidate.
