Fixed Income Portfolio Manager recruitment

The role will require the successful candidate to actively manage client portfolios and contribute to the marketing and sales effort via regular presentations and client meetings, supporting the Private Bankers and other clients directly. They will need to be able to analyse and develop their own investment ideas for client portfolios and group funds.

The successful candidate will have a good quality degree, RDR level 4 or above, IMC and CF30 as a minimum but higher preferred. They will have demonstrated longevity in previous roles in recognised institutions and see this role as an opportunity to develop their career.

They will be required to manage Fixed Income mandates, contribute to the FI policy at a strategic level and play an important role in the generation of trading ideas, portfolio construction from an FI perspective, security selection, credit analysis, as well as assisting in product design as required. FI expertise will mean you can fully contribute to the development and enhancement of all aspects of the FI process, including credit modelling, trading, broker interaction and research.
The successful candidate will be comfortable trading bonds, derivatives and currencies and a broad knowledge of other asset classes and trading instruments would be advantageous.

An important element to the role will be working with the Private Bankers, supporting their pitches to clients and thus strong interpersonal skills are important.
