Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, Regional Bond Fund, Singapore
This an excellent opportunity for a driven and successful candidate to launch their career within the asset management industry with a market leading team, focused on Local Market Government Debt. The Singapore team focus across the Asia-Pacific region and are currently interested in candidates with specific knowledge of China or SEA Markets.
The Fixed Income PM will be responsible for overall Investment Strategy on the Asia Pacific fixed income markets; analysing market data, conducting statistical analyses and developing Investment proposals for the Global Team. You will be responsible for research, implementation and day to day management of the fund.
Main Responsibilities
- Research, develop and implement a macro driven investment framework to cover either the SEA or China market Government Debt
- Day to day management of the fund including cash management, portfolio rebalancing etc. (There are Junior members who also assist with this)
- Contribute to the integral fixed income research effort that directly supports the PM's, with a specific responsibility to be the firm leader on Chinese HY debt.
- Develop investment proposals derived from the macro research, country risk analysis, broad market data and by developing a wide range of market connections
- Develop and maintain forecasting and investment analysis database, through working closely with PM's on daily functions
- Assist Senior Management and Sales team with client interaction and winning new mandates
Key Requirements
- At least 7 years experience within a Fixed Income, with a least 2 years exposure to running a portfolio
- University educated with a degree in either Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin are required as a number of the clients the firm deals with are within Mainland China
- Strong Analytical/Problem solving skills
