Fixed Income Product Controller recruitment
Job Function:
To provide timely, complete and correct information to the Front Office based on ledger data. This is generally focussed on desk P/L performance, fair value determination and recognition of income. The role also includes monitoring and highlighting control issues across the process, providing timely and correct monthly balance sheet reporting and communicating proactively and in a timely manner with the Front Office and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• The role has responsibility for all aspects of Product control for the business portfolios being supported
• Verification of trades and positions provided by Middle Office.
• Daily review and reporting of P/L
• Review inter-system position reconciliation breaks above material thresholds provided by Middle Office
• P/L reconciliation between P/L production from Front Office systems to General Ledger and Balance Sheet production.
• P/L analysis and reporting of month end adjustments to the General Ledger
To be considered for this position, you must be a part or Qualified Accountant and have:
• Experience working as a Product Controller within the banking sector
• Strong product knowledge, preferably of fixed income or equity derivatives but all product specialisms will be considered
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of business areas
• Team focus and keen analytical faculties
