Fixed Income Product Management Analyst recruitment

Position Description:

The Fixed Income Product Management group is an integral part of our large and growing fixed income business. Fixed Income Product Management is involved in all phases of the product lifecycle, including developing and marketing new investment strategies, ensuring the integrity and sustainability of existing investment strategies, and adapting investment strategies as appropriate to meet evolving client needs.

Key areas of focus include:
• Investment Integrity - Work closely with investment teams to define, implement, and enhance investment processes
• Book of Business Management - Work with investors, relationship managers, and business developers to assist in growing, retaining, and diversifying the firm's fixed income assets
• Portfolio Representation - Act as investment representative of Wellington Management and one or more of its portfolios to clients, prospects, consultants, and internal colleagues

The Fixed Income Product Management Analyst will work directly with the Investment Directors and Portfolio Specialists in Fixed Income Product Management. The Analyst will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the Fixed Income Product Management Group across a range of areas.

Responsibilities will include:
• Creation and maintenance of marketing materials
• Customization of RFPs and presentation materials
• Guideline discussions and onboarding of new accounts
• Portfolio and market analysis including attribution and current positioning
• Developing customized client solutions
• Fee analysis, product development, and product positioning
• Definition and maintenance of appropriate composites, working with the Composite Team
• Competitor research and product peer ranking analysis
• Completing system-based tasks and projects in response to ad-hoc product-related requests from internal and external constituents
• Building efficiencies by leveraging technology
• Project work such as research for white papers and publications

Working in this role requires a high degree of demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, fixed income knowledge, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm. The individual must be a hard working self starter eager to learn more about the fixed income investment business. He/she must able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where priorities change frequently and deadlines are crucial.

Other qualifications include:
• Strong academic track record and demonstrated quantitative and numerical analytical skills
• Some prior exposure and/or work experience in the investment management industry; fixed income or insurance knowledge preferred
• Comfort with large amounts of data and data manipulation
• Effective communications skills, both written and oral
• Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize time well
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to work without significant direction on diverse projects
• Collegiality, can-do attitude and a comfort with working with a variety of constituents
• Strong work ethic
• CFA or progress towards strongly preferred
