The team has a broad and varied remit including:
- Sales support - pitches, presentations and other sales documentation
- Product marketing and new product launches
- Data management and maintenance
- Fund reporting, market commentary, reviews and outlook
- Marketing planning, research and strategy
- Advertising, sponsorships and PR
- Events and corporate hospitality
- Website maintenance and strategy.
- Marketing based client communications
- Request for Proposal documents and questionnaires.
This role of sales support executive is vital in facilitating the efficient day to day activities of the sales teams in the UK, Netherlands, Nordics and Asia. The role also has close links to the wider distribution team, offering support to the fund managers and client directors.
Interaction
The marketing team is a source of information and support to a number of areas within the Fixed Income business and wider Institutional business group and works closely on joint projects with other business and service areas. Therefore, establishing and maintaining good working relationships are a vital part of this role as is gaining an excellent understanding of the company and its aims.
The key relationships for this role are with the marketing, sales and client management teams in the UK, as well as the sales team in overseas offices. It is likely that over time you will be encouraged to adopt a regional focus and become a specialist - UK, Netherlands/Nordics region or South East Asia/Australia.

Sales support responsibilities
- Help to create sales pitch presentations and client management updates
- Help to answer queries from external consultants and clients when required
- Help to maintain external consultant databases, including performance, AuM and general fund information
- Learn about clients, intermediaries and competitors in all markets and ensure all opportunities are thoroughly understood
- Use external databases to carry out competitor analysis
- Work with the other sales support executives to:
- maintain various sources of data including Staff information, AuM etc.
- complete ad hoc data requests and questionnaires
- help to update and maintain a variety of Fund documentation including regular reports and Fund Profiles
- support both the sales and marketing teams with updating and monitoring the CRM system
- help the rest of the team with specific project work as and when required.
Experience preferred
- Sales support experience in a Financial services environment
- Experience of using CRM systems and record keeping.
- Languages (Dutch, a Nordic language or Mandarin etc.) would be good but not essential
- Knowledge of MG, its businesses and objectives.
