Fixed Income Salesperson / Product Specialist, Wealth Management recruitment

Responsibilities

Develop and manage a simple and comprehensive Fixed Income offering to increase penetration of the Fixed Income asset class in the portfolios of Wealth Management clients to achieve revenue and AUM targets. Providing sales support for Client Advisers to drive this penetration leveraging our Fixed Income execution capabilities in AUD and non-AUD. This role will include:
• Defining the Fixed Income Offering including product shelf, pricing structures and client segmentation;
• Educating Client Advisers on the Fixed Income securities universe, portfolio construction, execution etc in order to build confidence in providing advice to clients on the Fixed Income asset class;
• Contributing to the sales process through day-to-day sales commentary, trade ideas, book-screening for the ASX-listed hybrid / debt and AUD and Non-AUD over-the-counter (OTC) Fixed Income market—drawing from experience in credit markets and interacting with various relevant parties throughout UBS (locally and offshore). In particular this will require the preparation of sales materials including client friendly emails providing simple and accessible ideas for Client Advisers to market to their clients;
• Work closely with the Fixed Income operator to deliver excellent execution to Wealth Management clients and leverage relationships with counterparties to support Fixed Income sales;
• Assisting Client Advisers in the preparation of pitch materials for both entry level and sophisticated fixed income portfolio solutions and attending meetings as product specialists;
• Providing advice and recommendations for Fixed Income across the product shelf, for example DCM transactions (ASX-listed hybrid / debt retail offers and OTC offers), Structured Products (ie Credit Linked Notes); Foreign Exchange, Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM), Managed Funds etc
• Developing relevant and timely Fixed Income thematics and contributing to the production of Research-based Advice (RbA) by the IPS Advisory Products team;
• Working with the Investment Bank to develop and implement a small denominations OTC offering for Wealth Management clients.

 

Requirements

• Solid Fixed Income product knowledge, specifically listed hybrids over-the-counter products and ability to educate others
• Credit market analysis experience required
• Proven experience contributing to the construction of Fixed Income portfolios is advantageous
• Excellent writing skills—proven experience drafting sales commentary and preparing client pitches will be highly regarded
• Sound verbal communication skills—previous experience establishing and building relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Highly proficient with PowerPoint / Excel / Bloomberg / spread sheet modelling
• Ability to actively contribute in client meetings and events
• University degree and RG146 qualification preferable
