Fixed Income Technology – Senior Java Software Engineer recruitment
Our Fixed Income Technology team is responsible for the development of a number of products, including IssueBook and IssueNet; our bond syndicate software products. IssueBook is a comprehensive web-based bookbuilding platform responsible for the entire fixed-income new issue process. IssueNet is a unique community of member banks, linked via a technology platform allowing seamless and secure syndicate to syndicate connectivity.
We are looking for a senior Java software engineer to act as a hands-on resource in small to medium size, global teams, to enhance and extend our existing products. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for the work they are delegated.
Required Skills:
- Proven background in technology with experience in: Java/J2EE Technologies: EJB, JSP/Servlets/Struts, JDBC, JSTL, JMS, JNDI, XML.
- Industry experience of Spring (Struts highly desirable)
- Extensive use of front end technologies such as HTML, javascript, AJAX. Use of javascript libraries is advantageous
- Experience of IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic, JBoss
- Experience of Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server and the ability to write complete and efficient SQL queries
- Knowledge of JUnit and extensions.
- Experience in a Linux development environment is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience of hands-on team leading, working with offshore teams an advantage
