Our client is a leading and rapidly growing financial market data provider. They have a very strong international presence throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia with established institutional clients. A Hong Kong based position has arisen for a Valuations Lead in Fixed Income to carry out a wide range of duties including evaluation of fixed income securities using proprietary models, risk process management, project management, and client relationship management.
Reporting to the Valuations Head, you will perform in-depth evaluation of fixed income securities using proprietary models and maintain and enhance the model spreadsheets regularly. You will perform price and data research, understand the market conditions, and respond to clients' queries. In addition, you will identify areas that could cause potential risk to the evaluations process and develop solutions to enhance current and on-going processes and controls. Building a close and trusting professional relationship with market participants, clients, and customer service will also be an important part of the role.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Minimum 6 to 10 years’ experience within an investment banking environment, within trading, valuations, or risk management space
- 1 to 2 years supervisory / managerial experience is ideal
- Exposure in dealing with complex financial products
- Solid track record in evaluations of fixed income securities
- Strong Excel and numerical skills
- An ability to face off to a number of departments and external institutional clients
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
