Fixed Wing Flight Instructor
This position serves as a Fixed Wing Test Pilot Flight Instructor at the U. S. Naval Test Pilot School located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland. Education: Bachelor's degree required; must be a graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) or the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School (USAFTPS)/equivalent military test pilot school. Must possess an FAA Class II Medical Certificate; Must possess a Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single Engine and Multiengine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings. Experience: Candidate must possess at least eight (8) years of test pilot experience to include one year of flight instructor experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must be qualified in two of the below listed aircraft: T-6, F/A-18, T-38, U-1/U-6, C-12/T-44 or other multiengine turboprop; must also be capable of completing water survival and Aviation physiology training as required by OPNAVINST 3710.7 series.
