Key Responsibilities

• Be the facilitator on all finance matters relating to Standard Chartered’s Europe region Financial Markets Trading

• Help ensure the integrity of the general ledger and controls around financial and management reporting for relevant products

• Take the lead on the pipeline budgeting and forecast process for FM Trading

• Provide timely and accurate weekly and month-end financial performance reports and comprehensive business analyses to FM Trading business heads

• Manage the exceptions on the daily flash PL reporting process

• Advise, support and challenge FM Trading business heads on the preparation of their annual budget, performance plans and strategic reviews

• Engage with product teams, global product control teams and the technical accounting group on large/complex transactions

• Establish and build effective partnership relationships with your peer group across the bank

Experience, Qualifications Skills

• A background in financial and management reporting within the financial services sector

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access

• A well-organised yet flexible approach and excellent communication skills

• A flair for decision making and a real sense of materiality

• The maturity and confidence to deal with senior business management and third parties

• The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
