FO FIX Onboarding Specialist / FIX Connectivity Specialist, eTrading Team, Tier One Investment Bank
Introduction: This FO (Futures and Options) eTrading Technology team provides electronic execution capabilities to clients and internal trading desks across many derivatives markets including low latency and proximity hosting. This encompasses the provision of DMA, Care Flow and Algos.
This global team is responsible for the Client Onboarding Pipeline, new client and vendor relationships. This is a team of hands-on, business aware technologists who face off to various stakeholders on a daily basis.
The Role: This role is for a FIX onboarding specialist, who will be expected to perform the following roles:
- Technology Onboarding
- Client Connectivity
- FIX Certification
- Client Relationship Management
- Some light development work across Unix, Java, Scripting etc.
The Skills: All applicants must possess the following skills:
- Experience in financial technology roles within client on-boarding and client connectivity including day to day interaction with external clients is essential.
- Good knowledge of FIX Protocol, all flavours of FIX, and familiarity with FIX Vendor software
- Experience of Listed Derivatives, Futures and Options, is essential, other asset classes are a plus and will be considered
- Medium to high Unix expertise, network connectivity and trading infrastructure knowledge
- Knowledge of vendor technologies, UL, SunGard, or other Derivatives Execution platform is a plus
- Good level of project management and excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with business and technology partners.
- Able to work in a real production environment, multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently in a strong team environment
- Other technologies: Java coding / Unix scripting / SQL all a plus. As are familiarity with Confluence, Jira SharePoint
The Package: Basic up to £75,000 plus benefits and bonus.
