The client; Retail Supplier / Head Office (based in Heathrow)

The role; encompasses the sourcing, cost negotiation and supplier management for several core foodservice product categories. The role will also work closely with both internal teams and also key customers to develop the optimum customer offering. This is initially a 6 month contract with a high possibility of going permanent

 

Your duties would include

·         Product procurement including sourcing, supplier negotiation and contracts, product specifications and master data.

·         Management of supplier product performance and KPIs

·         Budget management and accountability i.e. cost of goods

·         To work closely with Supply chain team, suppliers and distributors to ensure continuity of supply.

·         Build intercompany relationships that support achievement of KPIs.

·         To develop relationships with key suppliers and client to support the achievement of KPIs.

·         Represent procurement/ buying team on European and international projects as required

·         Work closely with Menu Development team to innovate, maximize margin and provide great food for airline client

 

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of;

·         A proven track record in buying, or category management gained from working for a foodservice, retail or wholesale business.

·         Excellent negotiating skills with the ability to adopt a collaborative approach to supplier relationships.

·         A strong broad commercial knowledge 

·         The ability to turn a great idea into reality through development of a strong business case and an ability to influence across the business.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

·         The ability to work well independently or as part of a team.

·         Ability to travel

·         Passion and enthusiasm for their role.

·         A great communicator, able to present at all levels both internally and externally.
