Food Service Director

We are currently seeking a Food Service Director for our Senior Care Facility.

 

Reporting to our Executive Director, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Oversight of department operations and staff supervision

·         Outstanding customer satisfaction

·         Training, motivating and mentoring Chefs and Fine dining  co-workers for advancement

·         Ordering within the specified budget and inventory of all food, beverages and supplies

·         Department management, budget and reporting   

·         Seasonal menu development, recipes and extensions.

 

Requirements include:

·         Executive chef candidates or individuals with culinary supervision experience are highly sought, including healthcare industry or hotel food beverage

·         Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management or AOS degree in culinary arts, supervisory development and/or hotel and restaurant management Preferred.  Associates degree with applicable experience accepted.

·         Experience with New York Department of Health standards and requirements a plus

·         Excellent organizational skills with a detail orientation towards documentation and follow-up.

·         Enthusiastic, passionate and motivated attitude

·         Microsoft and excel knowledge required
