Boral Asphalt (SA) is seeking a responsible and highly organised individual to join our team as a Foreman or Leading hand. In this role you will plan, manage and oversee the contracting works performed by the SA Asphalt and / or Spray Seal Operations. You will report to the Contracting Operations Manager, and duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with statutory OHSE requirements
- Planning and controlling works in accordance with time and budgetary requirements
- Developing and promoting multi-skilling of your crew
- Delivering on productivities and agreed outcomes
- Assisting in preparing quotations, estimates and tenders, and costing and invoicing for completed works.
To be considered for this role, you must have the below the following qualifications/experience:
- Asphalt or spray sealing industry experience in a Leading Hand, Foreman, or Supervisory role.
- A valid Drivers' Licence (essential)
- The ability to develop a workplace culture that is safe, productive, efficient and equitable
- A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines (including overtime when required)
- Practical project management, reasoning and problem solving skills
- Intermediate computer skills.
