Forward-Thinking Cloud-Based Practice Accountant
PART-QUALIFIED OR NEWLY-QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT WITH SUBSTANTIAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE SOUGHT FOR CHALLENGING ROLE IN SALISBURY
Our client is an independent, forward-thinking practice who are looking for a pro-active accountant who can help them move their business forward.
This is a newly-created position and will be a challenging mix of general practice work, predominantly made up of accounts preparation and taxation work (including company tax and Directors tax), but will also involve assisting on some audit work (probably around 2-3 weeks per year). The client base is made up of a diverse mix of industry types, ranging from small sole traders through to owner-managed business and groups with a turnover of £2-3 M, with the average client having a turnover of c£1M.
This opportunity would suit a part or newly qualified accountant who has substantial experience of working in another accountancy practice and is fully capable of working on their own initiative with very little partner input. They will need to be able to adopt a "shirt sleeves" approach, willing to help out in all areas of the business, in particular someone with very strong IT skills who can help them drive their IT systems and processes forward, possibly to include social media. They are heavily involved in "cloud based" accounting so previous knowledge of cloud-based accounting packages such as Xero would be useful, along with a good working knowledge of computer-based accountancy packages (IRIS would be an advantage).
