FP A Manager

I am recruiting for a publishing business based in central London, whose finance team are looking to recruit a newly created Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join their growing business.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be involved in the financial planning with the team with primary responsibility for providing the business with high quality business analysis. They will be involved in implementing the FP+A structure within the business. This will lead to a lot of ad hoc projects within the company, including looking at sales within the company across multiple countries. They will deliver the weekly monthly and quarterly forecasting programme as well as reorganising the budget process.

There will be lots of business engagement with the board when presenting the company analysis; therefore building strong relationship will be key. There will also be preparation and ownership of detailed budgets and regular detailed forecasting. The role will report directly into the CFO who this person will work closely with, they are looking for a confident and intelligent individual to take ownership of this position. The business will be looking to grow substantially and this individual will be tasked with forecasting growth and looking at where the business has expanded profitably and why.

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role and media/publishing industry who is keen to further their career within an FPA role. The candidate should have strong academics and excellent communication skills. They should be able to demonstrate excellent project and analysis skills and should be able to deliver against finance and management reporting deadlines and be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders. They should conduct themselves with a professional proactive approach and has the gravitas to change the status quo, and is looking for a new challenge within their career. Excellent Excel skills are a must.
