Solutions Architect – Payments / Digital
Payments Solution Architects required for my Consulting client to work with a range of financial clients across London to work on a variety of different payment and digital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Architect in the provision of a world-class Solutions Architecture service to Customers in the Banking Financial Services (BFS) Industry.
- Actively contribute in identifying, selecting and aligning the services of the group with supporting tools, frameworks, processes, policies and standards that assist in the commoditisation of the provision of Solutions Architecture Consulting services to BFS Customers.
- Devise innovative approaches for delivering tailored solutions leveraging your technical competency and industry knowledge.
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with senior client personnel on all engagements.
- Identify / anticipate client needs above beyond individual project-level service relationships.
- Take a lead role in the development of research, business development and sales assets using suitable formats and technologies; proactively seeking-out opportunities to participate in community, research-based and thought-leadership initiatives to further competitive advantage.
- Anticipate and resolve engagement issues. Diplomatically and professionally engage with Stakeholders and Communicate resolution measures to senior Client Management.
- Deliver comprehensive architectural solutions across multiple technology families, platforms, functional and industry domains using diverse tools, frameworks and technologies
- Determine and capture client needs by employing appropriate frameworks, tools, and techniques to assess the client's business maturity, problem-space / opportunity-space and goals
- Proactively identify and assist in the timely resolution of strategic, tactical and/or domain issues.
- Provide clear and complete status reports to the Lead Architect to facilitate departmental reporting and issue capture and/or resolution.
Candidates will need some domain knowledge in the following areas:
- UK Payments schemes, AML and sanctions
- Clearings (iPSL), Cash Forecasting
- Domestic (Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS) (Scheme level, Engine execution)
- Cross-border (International Wire, SEPA CT/DD)
- AML (Actimize)
- Sanctions Customer/Transaction (Fircosoft)
- Operations, Exceptions Investigations (Pega)
- Reconciliation (Smartstream TLM)
- Regulatory Requirements
Payments Technical Knowledge required (some or all of the following):
- High performance/availability Messaging
- Websphere Message Broker (WMB),
- Websphere Operational Decision Management (WODM)
- IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) (preferred) or
- IBM Enterprise Payment Platform (EPP)
- Rational toolset – Rational Software Architect (RSA), Rational Team Concert (RSA)
