A great opportunity exists for an energetic individual to be part of Anderson Instrument Company's finance team. The FPA analyst position encompasses all elements of financial activities within the Anderson business. The person in this position will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting, consolidation of Anderson's four ledgers worldwide, profit and cost analysis, and financial submissions to the parent corporation via Hyperion. This position assists the Group Controller in preparing the annual budget, monthly financial forecasts, variance analysis and explanation, product margin analysis, inventory valuation, physical inventories, and annual tax package. In addition to these key items, this position will have special projects throughout the term of the year including working capital and process improvements.
- Daily/weekly orders, revenue, cash, and inventory reporting.
- Month end journal entries.
- Month end account reconciliations.
- Coordinates timely consolidated monthly financial closings.
- Supports preparation of budgets and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Accurate reporting of foreign currency transactions, intercompany reconciliations and applicable elimination entries.
- Provide support for the monthly consolidated financial forecast.
- Prepares ad-hoc reports on departmental and operational performance.
- Works with operations team on key inventory management initiatives.
Required Experience Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 0-2 years' experience in related field. New college graduates must have one professional finance/accounting internship.
- Strong level of computer knowledge in Excel, Word, and data analysis.
- High energy, with a bias for taking action. Spontaneously recognizes and resolves issues.

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Hands on experience in financial software or ERP system.
- Experience with Hyperion Enterprise or similar application.
- Capable of reviewing financial controls to identify weaknesses and recommend corrective procedures (SOX compliance).
