A growing company in Durham/ Chapel Hill, NC area is currently looking for a front end developer who codes in PHP, CSS, HTML, jQuery, and JavaScript. This opportunity is not a designer role; this position is focused on UI/ UX design. This position acts as a bridge between back end development and designers. This role requires someone who is familiar with both front end and back end development. This development role will focus on maintaining and improving existing sites, and creating new web applications.
Responsibilities:
· Utilize web development standards and hands on technical skills to create standards compliant, cross browser compatible sites
· Work with the marketing team to translate visual concepts and design specs into SEO-compliant solutions
· Work with members of development team to assure all pieces fit, and interact correctly with back-end systems
· Work with Adobe CS files as a unified and functional experience across web platforms
Requirements;
· 3-5 years of web site development (e-commerce experience recommended)
· Experience with non-table base layouts and generating mock-ups
· jQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript are REQUIRED
· Demonstrate the ability to hand code clean, standards compliant, cross browser compatible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
· Strong JavaScript experience
· Proficient in PHP- Should be able to work with both front end and back end
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
· Familiar with MVC
· Familiar with Object Oriented design and concepts
· Experience with Unix command lines is preferred
Pluses:

· Experience with modifying existing sites for mobile platforms
· Drupal/ WordPress
· SEO and internet marketing knowledge
