Front Office Developer recruitment
Major hedge fund seeks a front office credit developer.
• Professional experience in C#/C++ development
• Professional experience in SQL
• Professional experience in Python
• Strong knowledge of credit products (CDS, CDX, etc)
• Strong knowledge of MBS/ABS products
• Strong knowledge of Excel/VBA
• Work directly with trading desk professionals, leveraging technology to solve business problems in research, analysis, trading and risk management.
• Facilitate communication between Front Office personnel and development/IT teams in other locations.
• Maintain and support real time pricing infrastructure for the firm.
• Communicate with Front Office Personnel
oWork with trading desk personnel to understand their requirements
oBe engaged and knowledgeable enough to suggest innovative solutions
oGet user acceptance solutions
• Software Development
oDeliver solutions quickly, but working within a professional software engineering environment.
oUnderstand and use appropriate software engineering techniques, including thoughtful design, unit testing, integration testing, and development.
oBe familiar and comfortable using distributed source code management systems, work/bug tracking systems, and automated build/testing technology.
• Communicate with Dev/IT teams – 5%
oBuild Knowledge of our technology stack and leverage it where appropriate. Request or design/implement changes to shared infrastructure.
oManaged projects effectively, including outsourcing parts of projects to other office locations where appropriate to gain additional leverage.
oCommunicate feedback from Front Office personnel.
