Front Office Development Manager recruitment

ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the role will include the following:
• Setting direction and strategy for development team
• Driving forward process improvement within the development team
• Working with other managers and colleagues to ensure high quality support and development of Order Management
• Recruitment, Salary reviews, EPRs, personnel issues and GROW for development team
• Planning, estimation and design input for Order Management development items

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL
• Relevant Degree graded 2:1 or above.  (e.g. Computer Science, Math’s, Physics, Engineering, Financial, Economics etc.)
• Strong, extensive experience and understanding of working with C#
• Experience leading/managing small development teams
• Working knowledge of databases (in particular Oracle and/or SQL Server), good understanding of Microsoft technologies and general IT knowledge
• A logical thinker with the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Strong communication skills – fluent in English language (verbal and written)
• Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure

DESIRABLE
• Experience of Order Management or other Front Office modules
• Understanding of the financial services industry
• Previous experience of managing a development team
