Front-Office Trader

The organisation in Zurich, Switzerland is a multi-billion dollar integrated procurement company with centralised purchasing, treasury and IT departments as well as senior management team members of the business unit. Due to a re-organisation of the Treasury function we are recruiting the role Front-Office Trader –Commodities FX.
Scope
The Front Office Trader Commodities FX is responsible for the execution of the various Commodities FX risks within the group. The incumbent works across the business units of the company and offers in house service during the market business hours. Monitoring global market events and managing group exposures are key functions.
The Front Office Trader Commodities FX is leading all treasury process under the supervision of the Head of Financial Risk Management.
Key accountabilities
- Trading Commodities request on behalf of the business with external counterparts
- Execute internal hedging request for Commodities FX
- Monitor mark-to-market positions for the group mainly for Commodities and FX
- Monitor exposure sensitivity for commodities FX
- Educate the plants and regional treasury on exposure identification, forecasting and accounting
- Monitor treasury hedging process within the group
- Deliver a daily market reports, commentary and ad hoc indications
- Deliver and manage a historical market data base for the group
- Analyze forecast to actual performance and adjust hedge and unwind position
- Continuous assessment of hedge effectiveness, existing exposure accuracy, new exposure discovery and hedge execution strategy
- Ensure treasury support for sales forces in case of new price negotiations
- Continuous assessment of various treasury finance project.
Required competencies, experience and technical skills
- Bachelor or Master degree in Finance or Accounting
- A minimum of at least 5 years professional experience, with at least 2 years’ experience gained in an international treasury function
- Fluency in English, French is an asset
- Excellent communication skills and able to create relationships at all levels of an organisation
- Ability to work in cross-organisational and multi-functional teams in a global matrix organisation with Manufacturing operations and an international mind-set.
