Front office Trading Application Support for Investment Bank recruitment
The Company
Our client is an investment banking institution that is currently looking to hire an application support person to cover FRONT OFFICE trading activities of cash equities and equity derivatives. Only candidates with prior experience from a financial services company will be considered.
The Role
- Provide daily support to front office traders in application support and troubleshooting
- Be able to test various in-house (proprietary) applications and other 3 party trading applications
- Enhance, tweak and constantly improve efficiency of platform to ensure traders receive the best support they can get
- Act as the first point of contact of the Front Office for projects, L1/L2 support (enhancement, request, incident).
- Bring expertise (technical and functional) of Equity Derivatives system, in order to develop other team members across the region and provide assistance to Front Office users (Traders, Sales).
- Train end users to the applications.
- Propose solutions to reduce recurring problems and workloads.
Your Profile
- Candidates must have previous knowledge in front-office applications trading for a financial services institution.
- Advanced English; a second Asian language would be advantageous.
- Have a strong understanding of various asset classes, including cash equities, equity derivatives, fixed income securities, and structured products
- Have a strong understanding of various platforms, including Sungard, Fidessa, etc
- Scripting Language
- Have a HKID work permit
