Frontend Designer Developer

We are looking for a Frontend Designer Developer to join our team.
Reporting to the Development Team Leader, you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, implementing, supporting and maintaining UI/UX aspect of web applications and components to the satisfaction of both Claranet and the needs of our customers, from specifications and requirements defined by the Development Team Leader.
Your Responsibilities:
- Visual and Aesthetic design, Typography, Image Production (raster, vector)
- Develop client side responsive robust web interface based on provided specifications
- Providing post release support and maintenance for all allocated applications
- Progressing allocated internal application support calls
- Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
- Ensuring quality standards and version control procedures are adhered to
- Providing regular status and progress reports to the Development Team Leader
Main requirements
Demonstrable experience of front-end designs of large scale internet applications.
Commercial experience of Open Source Development technologies including but not limited to:
- HTML, CSS, LESS, Bootstrap
- JQuery, JavaScript
- Photoshop
- PHP, Zend Framework 2
- Knowledge on content management systems
Able to demonstrate first-hand experience of industry Best Practice development process.
Nice to have
- Educated to HND level or equivalent in a business or technology related subject
- Commercial experience of front-end design and development technologies
- Web Application Development - both as an end user and at the application programming level
- Enthusiasm and ability to work with minimum supervision in an environment with tight deadlines
- Experience of working within technology/internet/telecoms sector
