FSA Recovery & Resolution Planning Modules 5 & 6 recruitment

Bank of America are eagerly seeking for an FSA RRP Individual with experience from the Big 4 or from a consultancy background for a 6 month (rolling) contract.

The role is required as part of a small project team to meet the requirements of the FSAs Recovery Resolution Planning regulations.

Recovery Plans require firms to identify options to recover financial strength and viability should a firm come under severe stress. Resolution planning requires firms to submit detailed information about their business and operational structure in the form of a Resolution Pack.

This role will focus specifically on Modules 5 and 6, which require the preparation of contingency analysis to enable the ‘unplugging’ of key UK economic functions from other parts of the firm in order that the resolution authority can apply appropriate resolution tools, and proposed actions to address significant barriers to resolution.

The role will focus on the UK legal entities in scope for this requirement and cover the Operations elements only.

Key skills / Requirements

• Ability to work with appropriate stakeholders and related teams to gain a good understanding of the requirements of sections 5 and 6

• Ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and in different regions and to work across different operations teams and operations SMEs to gather the information needed to draft the document.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to build networks and work across lines of business

• Strong documentation, drafting/writing skills.  Able to consolidate and maintain information from a variety of sources and maintain an appropriate audit trail of information sources and decisions that need to be made

• An understanding of the operations environment in an investment bank

• Ability to review and understand the information and challenge for inconsistencies, incompleteness or inaccuracies. 

• Ability to work independently to take forwards sections of work

• An individual who has previous experience of documenting processes and drafting documents ideally with a regulatory component would be ideal.
