Full-Time Faculty Appointment in the Department of Political Science (Tenure Track) Supervisor: Department Chair Qualifications: Ph.D. in Political Science; ABD candidates considered. Demonstrated teaching ability and research or scholarly interests in Comparative Politics with emphasis on the nations of the Global South. Candidates with ability to teach courses in qualitative and/or quantitative methodology preferred. Candidate must be committed to the liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the University and demonstrate commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring students, and scholarship. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to contribute to Bethel s anti-racism efforts and cross-cultural understanding. Responsibilities: Teach the equivalent of a full-time (seven-course) load per academic year. Course assignment may include introductory and upper-level comparative or area specialty courses, methodology courses, political theory or political institutions courses, and other departmental courses as well as participation on an interdisciplinary team in service to a Western Civilization great books course. General faculty responsibilities will include student advising, and department and committee assignments. Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
