We are looking for a solution architect with experience in integrating enterpise risk or front office risk system that involves multi-components across different business departmental hierarchy. Prior project experience in integrating Java and .Net frameworks are important. This role will be based in Singapore.
The Role
- Define architecture for the GBM project that is in line with the target CRO IT architecture that aligns to both today’s immediate, regulatory drivers and to the longer term strategic drivers of the Strategic Risk Programme
- Work with the Singapore based Project Manager and Delivery Manager to ensure that the solution can be delivered within the required timescale.
- Assist the delivery manager in briefing the delivery team, in identifying any required training or knowledge transfer such that the solution can be successfully delivery by a majority offshore/outsourced team
- As the senior technically focussed resource in Singapore should leverage the existing application development leads/application architects in Singapore to build a robust local architecture capability. The candidate will be expected to build and lead architecture working groups in Singapore and to ensure that architectural initiatives and standards from the global CRO IT architecture team are implemented locally.
- The GBM project is intended to align the business hierarchy between the CRO and CFO organisation. The delivered solution needs to consider the following:
. On-going alignment of business hierarchy between CRO and CFO organisation by
taking an automated feed from GBM. GBM is defined as the golden source as part of
the reference data hub initiative.
. Impact on SRP front to back architecture particularly wrt mapping of front office books to
GBM defined books
. Mitigation of the impact of a more dynamic hierarchy on downstream CRO IT systems.
- VaR/ERC/Limit reporting
- Roles/permissions that are based on Business Unit etc.
- Currently the hierarchy modifications take place on a 1 month cycle giving sufficient time for manual remediation to take place. Some level of automation and/or business process change will be necessary
- Specific objectives include supporting the data management functional architect and ultimately taking responsibility for:
• Developing target and interim solution architecture
• Ensuring architecture aligns with the existing CRO business strategy
• Ensuring logical and application architecture aligns with the CRO IT technical / platform
architecture
- Work with existing application development leads/architects in Singapore to determine the impact on these applications and to evolve the application architecture in each of the impacted systems
- Present and explain the architecture to all stakeholders including both business sponsors/users as well as departmental architecture working groups/committees.
Qualifications
- Evidence of involvement in the delivery of a business area’s / function strategic architecture
- Understanding of architecture concepts in various domains from business architecture through to infrastructure architecture.
- Strong ability to present ideas and approaches through tools such as PowerPoint.
- Good verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Some understanding of risk management functions and required IT support
- University degree education ideally with focus on Information Technology, finance or business administration
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent MS Office skills is a must
- Visio skills and other modelling tools (EA)
- Teamwork skills
- Good communication skills
- High degree of flexibility and “can do” attitude. Ability to work with limited level of instruction and supervision.
